So WOW summer is really making out to be busy time in our house I haven't been able to find time to even blog!!!! and when I do have a quit moment I just need to sleep in order to keep going! LOL!!!
So I am banging out this blog after I just had a client then went grocery shopping (with a 3yr and 2yr in tow) put the food away, made the kids and me lunch, cleaned the main level of our house...I even dusted!!! Then made some banana bread and it's now in the oven while the kids run around messing up the house again and I sit here typing this out......
So two weekends ago was the June in June race. Last year this was my first race that I had ever run and I did the 1k with my then 3yr (his first race too) and I did the 5k. This year my now 4yr did the 1k again and I did the 10k and came in on just the hour mark which I am very happy about as I was still getting over a nasty cold and I wasn't sure how that was going to go.
But the best part of that night was when I was racing with my 4yr....last year he held my hand the whole way and won't let go....this year.....he zoomed ahead of me and was like, "See ya later!!!" He would run up ahead and every once and awhile he would think that he had lost me so he would slow down and look behind him to see if I was still there. And I was every time, I would call to him, "Don't worry buddy I'm right here with you! I'm right behind you! You're OK keep going!"....I thought that was the coolest and have tears as I remember this right now.
Such a great message I was able to not only tell him but show him. 'Mommy is right behind you and will always be there, you just look ahead and keep going, you don't need to worry, I'm here for you'....sniff...sniff.....I have a feeling that one day he will not be looking behind him to see if I am there....but it doesn't matter cause I will still be right there xoxoxoxoxox
Ok I hear a lot of yelling and banging around upstairs....gotta go!
